CZ: Personal wealth does not come from selling user assets, has not cashed out company equity, and has not sold any crypto holdings
BlockBeats News, January 31, Binance founder CZ stated in an AMA:
「I've seen some bizarre accusations online, such as comments saying, 'You have a net worth of $92 billion, did you sell off all user assets? Did you sell cryptocurrency to get this $92 billion?'
If I remember correctly, this $92 billion figure comes from Forbes' estimate. But when Forbes says I have a net worth of a certain value, it doesn't mean I actually have that much cash. I haven't cashed out any company stock, nor have I sold cryptocurrency for fiat. I have no intention to do so, and I don't want to hold fiat (including stablecoins); I think they are assets that will devalue in the long run. I prefer to hold BTC, BNB, etc. So these accusations are also incorrect.」
