Hundreds of long-dormant Ethereum addresses have been hacked, cause unknown

According to crypto analyst Wazz, hundreds of wallets (many of which have been dormant for over 7 years) have been emptied on the ETH mainnet by the same address.
Aragon team member @TheTakenUser also posted to confirm that funds in their wallet were transferred for unknown reasons. The initial cause of this incident has not yet been determined, and community analysis suggests it may be due to leaked old mnemonic phrases, private keys, or storage like LastPass from 2017-2020, or previous dangerous authorizations, rather than a new smart contract vulnerability.
