The European Cryptocurrency Initiative (EUCI) has been renamed the European Ethereum Institute (EEI)
The non-profit organization European Crypto Initiative (EUCI) officially announced its name change to the European Ethereum Institute (EEI) at the EthCC conference. It stated that Ethereum has become the core infrastructure layer of the European digital economy, and this name change aims to align with that reality.
EEI is positioned as a public infrastructure policy research institution for Europe's digital future, providing independent, evidence-based analysis to explore regulatory issues affecting Ethereum, its developers, and users, connecting protocol developers, civil society, businesses, and policymakers, and translating technological realities into actionable policy recommendations.
