Trump: The United States will gain full access to the Indonesian market after reaching an agreement with Indonesia
Odaily News This morning, after speaking with the President of Indonesia, I finalized a major agreement with that country. As part of the agreement, Indonesia has committed to purchase $15 billion in U.S. energy products, $4.5 billion in agricultural products, and 50 Boeing jetliners, many of which are 777s. For the first time in history, our ranchers, farmers, and fishermen will have full access to the Indonesian market. In addition, Indonesia will pay a 19 percent tariff on all goods exported to the United States, while U.S. exports to Indonesia will be exempt from all tariffs and non-tariff barriers. If the goods are transshipped from a high-tariff country, the tariff of that country of origin will be added to the tariff paid by Indonesia.
