「Ultimate Shorter」 BTC Short Position Profit Hits $71 Million, Return Rate Reaches 14x of Initial Margin
BlockBeats News, February 6th, according to Coinbob Popular Address Monitor data, the "Ultimate Bear" whale (0x5d2) has opened BTC short positions four times since January last year. The first three positions together lost about 5.48 million US dollars, while the most recent short position realized a significant profit. The current short position has accumulated approximately 10.05 million US dollars in funding fee income, with a contract profit of over 61 million US dollars, resulting in a total annual profit of 71 million US dollars. Since December 26th last year, the address has not made any further adjustments, and last night significantly reduced the position to take profits, withdrawing about 5 million US dollars from Hyperliquid.
Compared to the peak position of 136 million US dollars at the end of October last year, the whale has successively reduced its position by about 130 million US dollars, and after multiple profit-taking withdrawals, has not replenished the short position. Currently, it still holds a 20x leveraged BTC short position with a size of about 4.4 million US dollars, an average price of about 11.15 thousand US dollars, and an unrealized profit of about 3.2 million US dollars (1470%).
